Proper installation of an SF₆ circuit breaker is essential for safe and reliable operation. Please follow these key guidelines:
1️⃣ Three-Phase Connection
All three phases must be connected simultaneously.
Do not connect one phase earlier than the others.
Asynchronous connection may cause SF₆ gas leakage and safety risks.
2️⃣ Gas Pressure Check
Ensure the pressure gauge is within the normal range of 0.6–0.8 before commissioning.
If pressure is below 0.6, refill SF₆ gas and inspect for possible leaks.
Never energize the breaker with insufficient gas pressure.
3️⃣ Monitoring in the First 3 Months
The first three months are critical after installation.
Check and record the pressure gauge weekly.
Watch for noticeable pointer drops, which may indicate leakage or poor sealing.
4️⃣ Safety First
Stable gas pressure and proper sealing mean the breaker is ready for reliable service.
Neglecting pressure checks can lead to serious equipment damage or safety hazards.
⚠ Always follow standard safety procedures and ensure trained personnel perform installation and commissioning.
